CONSTITUTION
1. TITLE
           THE MENDIP SHORT MAT BOWLS LEAGUE.

2. OBJECTIVE
           TWO PROVIDE COMPETITIVE SHORT MAT BOWLS IN A FRIENDLY AND SOCIAL ATMOSPHERE.

3. MEMBERSHIP
           MEMBERSHIP IS OPEN TO ALL CLUBS IN AND NEAR THE MENDIP AREA.
           ALL PLAYERS MUST BE ESMBA REGISTERED.
           CLUBS MAY ENTER MORE THAN ONE TEAM.
           CLUBS SHALL NOT REFUSE TO SELECT PLAYERS NOR OPPONENTS OBJECT FOR REASONS OF             COLOUR, CREED, DISABILITY, AGE OR ANY OTHER PREJUDICIAL REASONS.
            MEMBERS OF CLUBS GUILTY OF PREJUDICIAL OR ANTISOCIAL BEHAVIOUR, WILL RECEIVE A             WRITTEN WARNING WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF EXPULSION FROM THE LEAGUE.

4. MANAGEMENT.
           THE LEAGUE SHALL BE MANAGED BY THE COMMITTEE CONSISTING OF CHAIRMAN,             SECRETARY/TREASURER AND ONE OTHER COMMITTEE MEMBER.
           COMPLAINTS AGAINST ANOTHER TEAM OR PLAYER MUST BE SUBMITTED IN WRITING TO THE             LEAGUE SECRETARY. THE  COMMITTEE WILL DECIDE ON ANY FURTHER ACTION.

5. FUNDS.
           THE TREASURER SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DAY-TO-DAY INCOME AND EXPENDITURE OF THE LEAGUE. ALL FUNDS  SHALL BE HELD IN A COMMUNITY ACCOUNT WITH NATWEST BANK, IN SHEPTON MALLET

6. ANNUAL TEAM REGISTRATION.
           THE ANNUAL REGISTRATION FEE SHALL BE AGREED AT ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING AND PAYABLE BY 31ST OF JULY EACH YEAR.

7. ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING.
           THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING SHALL BE HELD IN MAY OF EACH YEAR AT WHICH THE MEMBERS SHALL RECEIVE AND APPROVE REPORTS FROM THE HON SECRETARY AND TREASURER.
           THE BALANCE SHEET SHALL BE PRODUCED BY THE TREASURER FOR THE APPROVAL OF THE MEMBERSHIP.
           ALL OFFICERS, AND COMMITTEE MEMBER SHALL BE ELECTED.

8. DISSOLUTION.
           IN THE EVENT OF THE LEAGUE BEING FORCED TO WIND UP ITS AFFAIRS, ALL ASSETS SHALL BE DONATED TO A SUITABLE CHARITY AGREED BY MEMBERS CLUBS.
